On the back of long standing client relationships developed over two decades of stellar investment banking & investment management experience, Nandakumar Ranganathan co-founded Blu Oak Capital in early 2014. Nandakumar is an alumnus of two of the nation’s most prestigious academic institutions, IIT Madras and IIM Ahmedabad and brings with him the expertise of partnering “anchor clients” in the entire life cycle of their businesses. His transaction road map spans across sectors but with a concentration on Consumer, Telecom & Technology, and Real Estate.
He has the experience of dealing with clients and investors across cultures and enjoys a successful track record as a consummate dealmaker. In the course of his dynamic career he has led a multitude of domestic & cross-border M&A (both buy and sell side), Advisory, Capital Access and Structured Finance transactions aggregating over USD 2 billion. These include marquee transactions that have featured in M&A and Convertible Bond League Tables and Euromoney Deal of the Year. He has built and managed capital market, investment banking & structured products platforms at ING Barings & DBS Bank. As the Managing Director & Country Head of Cushman & Wakefield Capital Asia, he was instrumental in creating an integrated investment banking & investment management platform. He has to his credit a number of “firsts” including India’s first Rupee Indexed Note, first Non-Recourse Steel Securitization, and the first REITS Issuance out of India etc. Nandakumar is an alumnus of two of India’s most prestigious academic institutions, IIT Madras and IIM Ahmedabad.

Armed with a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from IIT (Madras) and an MBA from IIM (Ahmedabad), Murthy went on to attend the PEVC program at Harvard Business School (Boston) and the PE program at Said Business School (Oxford, U.K.). He is also a CFA Charter holder.
Murthy founded Springboard Harper Technology Fund, a Private Equity Fund with sponsor investment from TIF Ventures, a unit of Singapore’s EDB (Economic Development Board) for early stage Technology investments. He founded Marshal Funds in 1996 & presently directs the enterprise; involved in Equity research which evolved into management of specialised Investment Mandates in both Private Equity (Tech / Renewable Energy / Life Sciences) and Public Markets with Operations in London, Mauritius, Singapore and Mumbai

In a career that spans over two decades, Darin has worked with some of the world’s largest investment banks and law firms, including GE Capital, Lehman Brothers and Sullivan & Cromwell.
He has to his credit billions of dollars’ worth of transactions in over twenty countries – including the United States, Japan, Hong Kong and Chile. He has authored over thirty publications, including books titled ‘Managing BRIC Real Estate Investment Risk’ and ‘Managing European Real Estate Investment Risk. He currently leads investment structuring and legal & risk management at Cape Horn Investment Advisory headquartered in Santiago, Chile.

Having begun his working career in 2007 with JPMorgan, Pranam has developed a niche for himself at the intersection of technology, design and business. His core competency lies in using design thinking to solve business problems that range from formulating the go-to-market strategy of anEduTech startup to addressing the human capital needs of a financial services firm. At Blu Oak Capital, Pranam manages early-stage deals with a focus on the consumer Internet, education and hospitality sectors. As part of the firm's investment committee, he offers the strategic marketing, design and technology perspective to complement the team’s core investment management capabilities.
Pranam holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Sardar Patel College of Engineering, Mumbai. He is a certified user experience designer (CXA,CUA) and advises several start-up companies on building customer-centric operations. He is also actively involved with non-profit groups focusing on education and healthcare.
